Australian International Coffee Awards
MICE 2016 will once again partner with the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria for the Australian International Coffee Awards (AICA). Now in its third year, the AICA attracts thousands of entries from hundreds of roasters across the Asia Pacific.
ASCA Roasting Championship
The Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA) will launch its inaugural Australia Roasting Championship at MICE 2016. The competition will test the skills of individual roasters from across the country in a three-day competition inspired by the new international format.
SCAA Accredited Coffee Training and Education
MICE is the largest provider of Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) accredited training programs, offered on site throughout the event. SCAA is the world’s leading, globally recognised training program.
Australia Barista Championship
MICE will host the Australia Barista Championship, the most coveted coffee title in the country. Organised by ASCA, the championship is Australia’s most-watched coffee competition. Each year the event attracts huge crowds of supporters and onlookers who engage in the exciting format.
MICE will host the first-ever GrowSpace. With attendees from more than 30 countries and growers from within these countries, GrowSpace will be an opportunity for visitors to cup coffee from all over the world, speak with the producers who grow coffee, as well as learn about coffee processing and innovations in production.
