Code Black, Café Imports and Wilbur Curtis team up at MICE 2015

Code Black, Café Imports and US based brewing equipment manufacturer Wilbur Curtis are teaming up to provide a unique coffee experience at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE).

World-renowned Kenyan coffee producer Boyce Harris, of Chania Estate, will be joining the team to impart some of his coffee wisdom to visitors to the stand. Boyce has produced an extremely unique Kenyan Honey Processed coffee that Matt Lewin of Axil Coffee will be using in his Australian National Barista Competition routine, kicking off on Friday 13 March.

This partnership represents the entire coffee chain from the producer, importer, coffee roaster, brewing equipment manufacturer, and barista.

Visitors wanting to experience each step of the chain will be able to start with Boyce Harris, hearing about coffee production and agronomy. They will then be able to move on to Noah Namowicz of Café Imports to learn more about the sourcing and importing process. They can then progress to Joe Tynan of Code Black to speak about the roasting process. Stand guests can then speak with Brant Curtis from Wilbur Curtis to find out about the latest brewing science and equipment. Finally, MICE2015 visitors can complete the process when the talented Code Black baristas serve them their final beverage.

Representatives of the three companies say they are extremely excited to offer coffee lovers the knowledge and experience of this seasoned group of coffee professions. The companies say they believe this process will allow attendees an opportunity to learn in an efficient and fun way.

Be sure to stop in at stand 104 to see this supply chain in action.

The stand will offer free coffee and two daily cuppings every day of the tradeshow.
