Melbourne International Coffee Expo

Free tattoo booth at MICE 2023, courtesy of Brewtech

True to form, Brewtech will not be doing anything by halves, or by the book. This year at MICE, they will be operating a free tattoo booth in collaboration with tattoo artist Courtney Leong, guaranteeing their stand will make a lasting impression.

As the world prepares to descend on Melbourne for the 10th annual Melbourne International Coffee Expo, one exhibitor who is preparing to make a lasting impression is Brewtech, who will be operating a free tattoo booth on their stand.

Tattoo artist Courtney Leong has designed and curated the flash sheet to reflect various aspects of coffee culture. Cascara plants and flaming cups of coffee share the sheet with the La Marzocco lion and even a Mahlkönig EK43.

The tattoo booth will be working daily from 10am – 5pm. They will be operating on a first come first served basis and will allocate timeslots during the signup windows at 10am and 2pm each day.

First time exhibitors, Brewtech are Australia’s partnered La Marzocco sales and service company, dedicated to providing expert, tailored support to equipment across the country. Their connection to the speciality coffee industry runs deep, with most of their technicians having years of experience working in cafes and roasteries. They are a team of coffee obsessed, technically minded individuals who come together to form the Brewtech family.

But why tattoos you ask? Brewtech’s Marketing Manager explains, ‘A huge part of what we do at Brewtech is supplying and caring for equipment so that it can last a lifetime, much like a tattoo. We want people to have something memorable
that they can cherish for years to come, as a reminder of how special Melbourne’s coffee community is.’

As well as offering free tattoos, their stand will be teaming with other fun activities. In true Brewtech fashion, equipment will be showcased on their pop-up brew bar, as well pulled apart on their work bench. They’ll be hosting international guests from Ikawa, Marco and Mahlkönig who will be available for hands on demos and friendly chats. And if your keen on a slightly less permanent memento, they’ll be running a merch booth as well as giving away a customised Mahlkönig X54 grinder to one lucky visitor.

Make sure you visit their stand at I18 to get amongst all the action and follow them on social media for another exciting announcement later this week.
