The Southern Hemisphere’s premier coffee event will take place from 4-6 March 2027 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) has announced its 2027 event dates, with three days dedicated to the people, products and ideas shaping what’s next in the coffee and café industry.

The 2026 edition in March recorded 14,159 unique attendees of which 35.1 per cent were café owners. MICE continues to reinforce its position as a key platform for those with purchasing power seeking solutions to improve efficiency, profitability and customer experience.

MICE Education Moderator and Show Lead Sarah Baker says MICE is much more than a trade show, but an annual platform to help grow the Australian coffee community.

“What makes MICE so important is the way it brings the entire industry together in one place, from producers and roasters through to café owners and suppliers,” Baker said. “It’s where ideas are shared, challenges are unpacked, and real opportunities are created.”

“There’s also a genuine energy to MICE that’s hard to replicate. The show floor is constantly moving, the education sessions are packed, and there’s a real sense of connection across the three days. It’s not just about doing business it’s about being part of the industry and where it’s heading.”

In 2027, MICE will once again deliver a multi-layered program designed to keep buyers engaged and actively involved in discovering new products, evaluating suppliers, and making informed purchasing decisions.

The BeanScene powered Café Owners Education Series will return with an expanded program of practical, business-focused sessions, covering everything from pricing and profitability through to operations, staffing, and evolving customer expectations, all tailored to café owners and operators looking to strengthen performance.

The Trip to Origin feature will continue to spotlight producing countries and green bean suppliers, bringing origin stories, cupping experiences, and supply chain insight to the forefront, while giving attendees a deeper understanding of sourcing, sustainability, and global market shifts.

The Roasters Playground will once again provide roasters with a dedicated platform to showcase their coffees, connect directly with buyers, and build brand recognition among a highly engaged audience of café owners and industry professionals.

MICE at Night will enter its second iteration on the Friday night with extended show hours designed to help café owners and operators attend the show after trade hours and be included in networking and exhibitors conversations.

“We’re excited about the future of MICE and looking forward to seeing everyone unite, motivate and celebrate our industry come March 2027. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our exhibitors and the wider coffee community grow from such an important annual event,” Sarah Baker says.

Sponsorship, exhibition and speaking opportunities for the 14th edition of the Melbourne International Coffee Expo are now open. Secure your position early and put your brand in front of café owners and key decision makers. Premium positions are limited.
