Pete Licata
Co-Owner - Caffeine Control Coffee NPD/Coffee/Competition, Consultant 2013 World Barista Champion
Pete Licata is a 22-year veteran of the coffee industry, with extensive experience at all levels of the coffee value chain, including cafes, roasting, farm production, and coffee processing. A 2013 World Barista Champion, Pete has also built a career as an NPD/Coffee/Competition Consultant and Co-Owner of Caffeine Control Coffee.
Pete has participated in barista championships for 20 years, competing until winning the World Barista Championship in Melbourne in 2013, as well as volunteering, judging, and coaching others.
In 2025, Pete and his wife Maria launched Caffeine Control Coffee, a roasting company focused on bringing clarity to caffeine in coffee and offering options for customers to take charge of their health and wellness while still enjoying delicious coffee.
