Sasa Sestic

Founder and CEO of ONA Coffee Wholesale, Project Origin & Nucleus Coffee Tools
An aspiring professional handball player, Saša Seštić and his family emigrated to Australia to escape political conflict. In 2000 he represented Australia in the Olympic Games. Following this, Saša discovered a new passion that would change the course of his life: coffee. Starting with humble beginnings in a suburban cafe and roasting coffee at home, Saša saw an opportunity to provide high quality and ethically sourced coffee to Australia and the world. In 2008, his first company ONA Coffee was born and within a short time, began supplying roasted coffees to businesses around his home town, Canberra. In 2011, his second company Project Origin was established as an initiative to ethically source coffee and now, sources coffee from 12 countries around the world and works with hundreds of coffee farmers.
