We had a quick chat with Veneziano Coffee Roasters about why you should make time to head over to their roastery while you’re in town for MICE2020.
MICE: What makes your roastery a must-visit destination for anyone in or visiting Melbourne?
Veneziano: Our flagship cafe in Richmond is the ultimate destination for coffee lovers when in Melbourne. Under the one roof you’ll find our roastery, training studios, cupping lab and the most recent addition, our café. Coffee (obviously!) is the focus, with a bunch on offer from our favourite blends to a showcase of special microlots and signature drinks. But, if you like food we can help there too. Our head chef KaiKai Yan (former chef de partie at Dinner by Heston) has designed a seasonal menu to complement our coffee.
MICE: Why did you pick Richmond – what makes it so special?
Veneziano: We moved into our Richmond facility about five years ago when we said goodbye to our original stomping ground in Abbotsford. We love Richmond and our neighbours – we’re right on the Yarra River, it’s close to the city and easy to access. All-in-all it’s pretty iconically ‘Melbourne’ which we absolutely love.
MICE: What do you love about MICE?
Veneziano: What don’t we love about MICE?! Nothing is better than hundreds of people in one room all buzzing from too much amazing coffee. For us, it’s our opportunity to catch up with our friends, support the industry we love so much and sharing our knowledge and discoveries. We love creating connections with new friends and showcasing some of the very special coffee we’ve sourced. This year we’ve got some exciting surprises and as always some rare and exceptional coffees to share.
